Jill Lasersohn

I think of toiles patterns as being almost like reading a newspaper, because they really are a sign of their times. I’m just crazy for them

-Jill Lasersohn

In the past two decades, antique-textiles collector Jill Lasersohn has amassed one of the most impressive private textile archives in the country. For her work with Schumacher, she mined this extraordinary resource for inspiration, looking especially to her more than 500 documents of centuries-old toile, almost half of which were produced at Oberkampf’s legendary mill.
