Katie Lydon

This collection is my way of asking, What does happiness look like on paper? Or soulfulness? Or moodiness? It’s about channeling emotion into design in a way that quietly shapes how a room feels.

-Katie Lydon

To create her dreamy debut capsule collection with Schumacher, Katie Lydon collaborated with New Orleans–based collage artist Simon Blake. A London native who studied at Wimbledon Art School and Cambridge University, Lydon founded her namesake firm in New York City in 2002 and has made her name designing interiors that reflect her deep knowledge and passion for antiques and architecture. Her design ethos: A balance of classic and modern pieces, plus a smattering of contemporary art, results in living spaces that are at once timeless and exciting. Lydon’s work has been featured in national and international design publications including Elle Decor, Cottages & Gardens, DuJour, House Beautiful, Tatler, The New York Times, and Town & Country.
