Miles Redd’s Ribbon Appliqué in red-on-ivory stuns with a couture fashion–inspired quality. Embellished with grosgrain ribbons of graduating widths, this 12-foot-tall fabric panel makes dramatic curtains and shades that are as surprising as they are beautiful. As an upholstery fabric, it gives furniture a curious asymmetrical twist. Run it on the bias; make your stripes horizontal or vertical. The application will give it your own signature—and each piece will be individual.

The Atlanta-born Miles Redd began his design career after graduating from New York University and honing his skills with luminary antiques dealer John Rosselli and decorator Bunny Williams. Best known for an eye-catching color sensibility, his trademark brand is characterized by playful mélanges of high and low, invigorated with whimsy, scale and modernity rooted in classic decorating.
