About Us

SCHUMACHER

Frederic Schumacher, our founder, was two steps ahead of everyone else when he established his shop in 1889 on Fifth Avenue in New York. When it came to interior decoration, he had the uncanny ability to predict what was coming next and had the gumption to act on it. His insatiable passion, and quest for luxury are still part of who we are as a company today. With over 130 years of invention under our belt, we’re committed to design that transcends time and rises above the ordinary, and we are unwaveringly devoted to beauty and quality. We do it for us and we do it for those of you who push for something more.

We like to think of ourselves as the ultimate resource in the world of home decor for high-end designer fabric, wallpaper, fabric, trim, and furniture; providing you with all you need to create with confidence.
