Order Information

How can I place a firm order, memo order, or reserve order?

An order can be placed in a variety of ways:

  1. Visit our website to place orders, check price and stock, view order status, and detailed product information.
  2. You can visit one of our showrooms. Find your nearest showroom here.
  3. Start a chat with our Customer Experience department on our website.
  4. Call 1-800-523-1200; we are open Monday through Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm EST.
  5. Our Customer Experience department can also be reached at info@schumacher.com to place an order.

What is a firm order?

A firm order has payment applied with the expectation that it is processed and shipped.



What is a reserve order?

A reserve order is an order placed with the expectation that the order must be approved before it becomes a firm order. Reserved stock is held for 14 days with no extensions.



What are the order minimums?

Fabric and trims have a minimum order of two yards and incremental yardage is cut by the half yard. Orders below the two-yard minimum are subject to a cutting fee. Wallcovering is priced and sold as indicated on the website for that SKU.



Can I make a change or cancel my order?

All orders are considered committed orders, except for reserve orders. A request to change or cancel orders may be accommodated to Schumacher's sole discretion, only if the order has not already been processed for shipment. Merchandise returns must meet our return policy and are subject to the standard handling charge.



What is the cost of shipping?

All shipments are FOB warehouse. Minimum charge is $16.50. This cost varies depending on shipment method and location.

All orders are subject to the terms and conditions set forth by Schumacher. payment terms are as stated on invoices.

Returns/Claims Information

How can I submit a claim for a credit, return, or replacement order?

All inquiries regarding claims, returns, price errors, billing errors, and proof of deliveries should be directed to your local showroom. Please take a look at our return policy for special goods such as, but not limited to: silk, and velvet.



Wallcovering Claims: After three (3) strips are installed, inspect the wallcovering. If the pattern effect is not acceptable or if there is variation in color, discontinue hanging. Schumacher will not be responsible for labor beyond three strips. Defective material will be replaced.



Returns are not accepted after merchandise has been cut, treated, or processed in any way. Schumacher recommends that the customer check all products for flaws, correctness of pattern, color, and differences before.



How long do I have to make my return?

The customer has 30 days to inspect the goods and notify Schumacher of any visible defects or non-conformity. If during the thirty days, the customer does not inform Schumacher of any visible defects or non-conformity, or the customer uses or resells the goods, or the customer fails to inspect the goods, it shall be concluded that the goods delivered were conforming.



Once my return is approved, how long do I have to ship back the merchandise?

Once a return has been approved, the customer has 30 days to ship back the merchandise. If the merchandise is not shipped back within this time frame, the request will be canceled.



Can I schedule a pick-up for my return?

Please be sure to communicate with your Sales Representative handling your return that you would like to schedule a pick-up as this will reflect on the return label generated. be sure to include the best time range for the merchandise to be picked up.



Where can I get a copy of the return label if I lose the original?

Please contact your Sales Representative for a copy of your return label.



What is a BRET?

A BRET is the prefix Schumacher uses to identify return orders.



Can I return Velvet Goods?

Velvets must be returned in the original packaging. If the velvets are received in a condition that prevents Schumacher from determining liability or if handling or shipping may have caused damage, the goods will be returned to the customer at the customer's expense and credit will not be authorized.
