Inspired by a 17th-century drawing made by Italian artist-architect Giuseppe Galli Bibiena, the Palazzo
Panel Set is a spectacular trompe l’oeil design that brings architectural grandeur and depth to any space. Backdrop’s Los Angeles studio reinterpreted a mid-1950s fabric design of the same name to create this striking, extra-large four-panel wallpaper set, incorporating hand-drawn elements and intricate metallic detailing to evoke the patinaed elegance of a palatial atrium. This sophisticated wallcovering coordinates beautifully with Backdrop’s premium climate-neutral paints.

Inspired by Italian Puntini candies, this geometric design is a visual delight. Lighter, smaller dots are arranged in a grid overlaid by a darker, larger dot grid, resulting in a dynamic, playful pattern. Imbued with rich natural texture and subtle tonalities, this small-scale design is screen-printed by hand on our Haruki Sisal.
