This pillow features Les Scenes Contemporaines from Jill Lasersohn Historical Textile Archive with a self welt finish. For a tongue-in-cheek take on antiquity, our in-house artists modernized an 18th-century Jean-Baptiste Huët pattern by seamlessly embedding playful contemporary references—everything from combat boots to to-go coffee cups—into Greco-Roman mythological vignettes of Athena, Diana, and Mercury. Pillow includes a feather/down fill insert and hidden zipper closure.

In the past two decades, antique-textiles collector Jill Lasersohn has amassed one of the most impressive private textile archives in the country. For her work with Schumacher, she mined this extraordinary resource for inspiration, looking especially to her more than 500 documents of centuries-old toile, almost half of which were produced at Oberkampf’s legendary mill.
